Fr. David Michael is back in the kitchen to bring a little boost to your spiritual life this Lent.

We recently shared some advice from Fr. David Michael Moses on how to pray more effectively thanks to an egg. Well, he's using food once more to help us make sense of the Lenten period, and how we can make the most of it.

Thanks to a bag of chips, Fr. David Michael explains in a simple manner the importance of filling our free time with meaningful activities.

First, he shares the biggest issue of eating chips at a party when people are all shoving their hands in the bag -- not so hygienic. (He also insists that he's not invited to any parties, but somehow we're not convinced!)

So, Fr. David Michael demonstrates the perfect solution to the problem. He makes a chip bowl out of the bag itself by getting rid of all that air inside. He then likens that air to the "empty space" we have in our lives, and the importance of getting rid of all that time we might find to laze around, achieve nothing, and perhaps be led to temptation.

The popular priest suggests that during Lent we should fill our empty space with activities that help others, or can benefit ourselves, such as praying more or taking care of our health.

And the best bit about the hack is that every time we see a bag of chips, we'll be thinking of all that empty space inside, and be reminded to make the most of all our spare time!
