And reminds us that priests can often relate to the ups and downs of romantic life.

A video on Twitter has revealed the very fun -- and slightly devious! -- side of Fr. David Moses when celebrating the marriage of his childhood friend, Zachary Harvey.

While addressing the loved ones gathered, Fr. David shared some childhood anecdotes from his friendship with the groom, making the ceremony both very personal and all the more meaningful.

In fact, in a slight deviation from what you'd normally expect to hear from a priest in a wedding homily, Fr. Moses shared the stories of his own lack of success with the girls during his youth due to his friend "stealing" them from him. He also confided with those gathered how he'd had a crush on Zachary's sister Meghan in 2nd grade.

While the surprising admissions might have shocked some, they were well received by the couples' friends and families. And even though Fr. Moses said it was an attempt to "sabotage" their wedding, his humor -- and obvious happiness for his friend -- made the ceremony all the more joyful.

Yet, beyond all the humor, the priest far from sabotaged his friend's wedding. In fact, he showed the couple what a privilege it was to be accompanying them as they enter the sacrament of marriage.

The video is just one example of the 28-year-old showing a very relatable side to the priesthood. You can also follow him on Instagram, where he declares that "most of my kids are older than me," and shares more insight into life as a young, energetic priest.
